Mike Munley founded Honeycrest Farm in 2016 after discovering his passion for beekeeping. He completed his Master of Beekeeping from Cornell University in 2023. Mike is committed to promoting sustainable and ethical beekeeping practices.
Tori Munley is a certified beekeeper. She has recently turned her passion and skills to making all-natural cold-processed soaps, using honey, beeswax, and goat's milk in some of her soaps. The soaps are produced at Honeycrest Farm and marketed under the Bee-Hopefull brand.
We have over a million workers located on the farm in the summer. Their makeup includes Queen Bees, Drones, or male bees during spring, summer, and fall (drones don't over winter), and the all-important worker bees or female bees who do all the work including the Honey production.
We are dedicated to spreading awareness about the importance of bees and their role in our ecosystem. Our products and services are designed to help discover the magic of bees and the products that they produce. Contact us to find out more about having bees at your location. It's fun and good for the environment!
Installation
Using our corporate beekeeping service, we will install hives on your property. Our popular plans include 2 or 4 hives.
MaintenanceWe will visit and inspect the beehives monthly to ensure that the hives are healthy and thriving. We will provide monthly reports on the status of your hives.
All the honey your honeybees produce is for you to keep. We will harvest the honey for you. We can even bottle and label the honey for you with your own corporate-branded labels. This honey makes great gifts for your employees as well as your customers.
Where will Bees thrive on your property?
We will work with your facility management team to install your hives in locations that are safely out of high traffic areas, in environments that are right for both you and your honeybees.
Honeybees are like foraging machines! A single honeybee will forge in an average 2.5-mile radius from their hives. In other words, they will find flowers and trees to collect nectar and pollen from.Beehives can be installed almost anywhere, including:
Rooftops
Courtyards
Anywhere on your campus
Classes
We are happy to handle and care for your bees, we have found that your employees will be curious about the bees. This is why we offer an employee program to teach and engage with your employees.
We will coordinate with you to schedule our monthly inspection of your beehives to include a 45-minute “hands-on” class with your employees who are interested.
Each monthly class will teach your employees about a different aspect of beekeeping. They will be able to observe the monthly inspection of your beehives. We will even bring along extra bee Jackets and veils so those who folks would like hands-on experience will have the opportunity to work with the bees.
